Karl H. Keefer of Gladwin. Burial was at the Beaverton cemetery. Mrs. Glenn Wagar, Evelyn's teacher, was pianist, and Miss Peggy Miller sang. Evelyn, a daughter of Mrs. William Rackel, died Friday, February 25, at St. Luke's hospital in Saginaw of typhoid fever. Her death is particularly sad as it follows so closely the death of her father February 20 of the same disease. She was born August 29, 1937, Beaverton. She was a student in the sixth grade. The pall bearers were her schoolmates, Frances Hall, Jean and Mary Swengel, Jackie Knox, Betty Ross and Margaret Nichols. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. William Rackel, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.John Rackel, two uncles and an aunt, Charles Rackel of Saginaw and Ernest Rackel of Flint, and one aunt, Mrs. Sophie Arndt of Shepherd. Attending the funeral from out-of-town were: Mrs. Mida Eisenlohr, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rackel of Saginaw; Mrs. Harold Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Greer, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rackel of Flint; Mrs. R. Bench of Freeland; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Arndt of Shepherd; Mr. and Mrs. H. Kunz of Auburn.
