JOHN RACKEL DIES IN BEAVERTON APRIL 11

   John Rackel of Beaverton died at his home Thursday, April 11, after a long 
illness. John Rackel came to Gladwin county in 1887 and was married to 
Phillipine Uhl August 7, 1897. One son, William, preceeded him in death.
   Surviving him are his wife, two sons Charles of Saginaw, Ernest of Flint, 
one daughter, Sophia Arndt of Sheperd, two sisters, Katherine Welker of 
Beaverton, Elizabeth of Flint, and two brothers, Peter Rackel and Charles 
Rackel, both of Beaverton.
   Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home with burial in the 
Beaverton Cemetery.
