Gladwin County Record dated 06-21/1989 Column - 3 Page - 2
Ralph D. Ranes, 55, of 2810 W. Knox Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Friday, June 
16, 1989 in the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Beaverton, Jan. 13, 1934, he 
had spent his lifetime in Gladwin County. Mr. Ranes was retired from 
construction work. 
   Surviving are 2 sons. Gary of Meredith and Byron of Sanford; 3 daughters, 
Mrs. Ron (Sandy) Cummins, Dawn and Carol Ranes of Beaverton; his mother, Mrs. 
Lillie Ranes of Beaverton; 3 brothers, Arthur of Arizona, Evert and Keith of 
Beaverton and Lawrence; 3 sisters, Mrs. Leola Hathaway of Midland, Mrs. Doris 
Gilmour of Sanford and Zelma Ranes of Beaverton; and 8 grandchildren.
   Services were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Mark Moore officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
