LILLIE RANES

   Lillie M. Ranes, 95, of 2850 Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Friday, July 27, 
1990, at her home after a long illness. Born in Grout Township, Gladwin 
County, May 1, 1895, she had spent her lifetime here. She was a member of the 
Beaverton Church of the Nazerene. The former Lillie Page, she was married to 
Lester Ranes, Jan. 5, 1914, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death Jan. 29, 
1975.
   Surviving are 4 sons, Arthur of Arizona, Evart and Keith of Beaverton and 
Lawrence of Bay City; 3 daughters, Mrs. Leola Hathaway of Midland, Mrs. John 
(Doris) Gilmour of Sanford and Zelma Ranes of Beaverton; one sister, Eva Tuck 
of Houghton Lake; 2 half brothers, George and John Wylie of Gladwin; 24 
grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 5 great, great grandchildren. She 
was preceded in death by 4 sons, Fred, Denton, Bud and Ralph and 3 daughters, 
Ruby, Velma and Faith.
   Services were held Monday at 11 a.m from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Mark Moore officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
