Gladwin County Record dated 11-20/1974 Column - 4 Page - 4   
Harry Russell Ray, 80, of 3615 Ashman Midland, a former Beaverton resident, 
died Wednesday, November 13, in Midland following a long illness. He was born 
in Paulding County, Ohio, January 7, 1894, and had lived in Beaverton from 
1900 to 1925, before moving to Midland. A farmer most of his life, he was also 
employed at Dow Chemical Company for 17 years. Mr. Ray and Dora Edith Tschupp 
were married July 17 1917 in Beaverton. He was a member of the Church of the 
Brethren.
   Surviving are his wife Dora of Midland; 3 sons; 24 grandchildren and 19 
great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at Ware-Smith Funeral Home, 
Midland, and burial was in Dale Cemetery.
