Gladwin County Record dated 04-01/1926 Column - 3 Page - 4
James Ray died March 16 at his home in Tobacco township, aged 83 years, 11 
months and 3 days. He was born in Ohio and came to Gladwin county 28 years 
ago, and during that time cleared many acres in Tobacco and Buckeye townships. 
He leaves wife and six children, Harry of Midland, Mrs. Dan Robison of 
Saginaw, Edward, Mrs. Claud Smith, Mrs. Gar Freeman and Mrs. Logan Ackley of 
Beaverton.
   Funeral at Dale church with burial in Dale cemetery.
