A. Raymond of Tobacco township, was born Feb. 25, 1899, and departed this life Jan. 9, 1919, aged 19 years, 10 months and 15 days. On the morning of his death he started for Arkansas, in the car with Mr. Blades' stock and household goods, and it was while this car was being switched at Coleman, that he met his death. From childhood up he has always been a kind and obedient boy. He finished his common school education and started on a high school course when his nerves failed and he was compelled to give this up. He then decided on staying on the farm with his parents where he was always a great help to them. His beautiful, untarnished character endeared him in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves a vacant place in the home, Sunday school and community, but we feel our loss is Walter's gain. He leaves to mourn his death, father, mother, one brother, Wesley of the U.S. Marines, one sister, Hazel, one grandfather, one grandmother, several aunts and other relatives, and host of friends. He was a member of the Dale Arbor of A.O.O.G. Funeral services were held at the Dale church Jan. 14, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Lawrence, assisted by Rev. Mitts. Interment in the Dale cemetery.
