HENRY A. REEVES

   Henry A. “Al” Reeves , age 78, of Beaverton died May 21, 2003 at St. Mary’s 
Medical Center in Saginaw after a short illness. Reeves was born June 22, 1924 
to Howard and Emma Reeves in Xenia, Oh. He worked as an Engineer, retiring 
from Dow Chemical in Midland. He served in the United States Army during WWII. 
He lived in Gladwin County since 1983, having previously been a resident of 
Cherry Hill, New Jersey. 
Henry attended First Presbyterian Church in Beaverton. He was also a member of 
the Beaverton Lions Club and Chairman of the Eye Glass Drive. He was past 
Chairman of Gladwin and Midland County Mental Health. And he was the past 
President of the Gladwin County Fair Board. He married Elizabeth Libby 
(Schenz) on March 1, 1946 at Columbus, Ohio. 
   He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Libby” Reeves of Beaverton; three 
daughters, Nadine Benjamin, Deborah Stickley and Cynthia Garcia, all of 
Beaverton; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and one sister, 
Mary Lou Doyle of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents. 
The funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at First 
Presbyterian Church in Beaverton, Rev. Karen Blatt officiating. Burial will 
follow in Beaverton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First 
Presbyterian Church in Beaverton.
