CRASH FATAL TO DONALD RELLINGER

   Donald D. Rellinger, 29, of Gladwin, lost his life early Moday morning when 
his panel truck left the road and turned over on M-61 about five miles east of 
Gladwin City. Sheriff Victor Edick said he believed Mr. Rellinger had gone to 
sleep. He reported the truck was heading west and went across the highway to 
the south side and traveled along the shoulder. The sheriff said apparently 
the driver attempted to pull the vechile back on the road and it rolled over 
twice, coming to rest on its top. Rellinger was underneath the truck. 
   He was found about 3 a.m. by James Howard of Mt. Morris, who reported the 
accident to the sheriff. Mr. Rellinger was born on October 29, 1929, in 
Coleman, and was married to the former Elizabeth Ann Brubaker on September 12, 
1952, in Gladwin. They came to live in Gladwin County from Midland in 1956. He 
was a veteran of the Korean War, and was local representative for a dog food 
manufacturer at the time of his death.
   Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Mary Lou; two sons, 
Jeffrie Lynn and Stephen; his mother, Mrs. Sadie Rellinger, of Coleman; three 
brothers, Richard of Gladwin, Harold of Coleman, and Orlo of Midland; and a 
sister, Mrs. Alverna Stemple, of Coleman. His father, Clyde, preceded him in 
death on July 4, 1959, and a brother, Clarence, died in March of 1959.
   Funeral services were held this morning (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at Sacred 
Heart Church, with the Rev. Father George Artman officiating. Burial was in 
Dale cemetery.
