EDNA V. RICHARD

   Edna V. Richard, 97, of 344 W. Brown, Beaverton, died Monday, July 18, 
1994, at Gladwin Pines Nursing Home, after a long illness. Born in 
Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada Oct. 25, 1896, she moved to Gladwin County from 
Detroit in 1957. She was a life member of the Loyalty Southfield Ionic Order 
of Eastern Stars 427 in Southfield, and a member of the Beaverton United 
Methodist Church. The former Edna Westaway, she married Charles Richard Dec. 
25, 1926 in River Rouge. He died Dec. 5, 1984.
   Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 
3 brothers. Rites were held today (Wednesday), at 11 a.m. from Hall Funeral 
Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Bruce C. Hatch officiated, and burial was in 
Beaverton Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Beaverton United 
Methodist Church.
