Sylvia N. Richmond, 82, of Gladwin, died Monday, April 24, 1995 at MidMichigan 
Regional Medical Center - Midland. Born March 5, 1913 in Adamson, Okla., she 
resided in Gladwin County since 1948 when she moved to Pontiac. Mrs. Richmond 
was employed as the director of the Department of Social Services. She was a 
member of the Eastern Star White Clover Chapter No. 84, Christ the King 
Lutheran Church and the Golden Rod Rebekah Lodge No. 151. The former Sylvia 
Lout married Ralph Richmond May 4, 1935 in Detroit. He preceded her in death 
Oct. 23, 1993.
   Surviving are 2 sons, Ralph Jr. of Gladwin, and William of Detroit; one 
sister, Velma Shepherd of Chandler, Ariz.; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great 
grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) from the 
Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin with the Rev. Kirk Havel officiating. Burial 
will be in the Dale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of 
one's choice.
