MRS. EMMA RIELEY DIES SUDDENLY

   Mrs. Emma Catherine Rieley, 78, of Beaverton, died suddenly Saturday at the 
Midland Hospital folliwng a six day illness. Born on June 23, 1882, in Senaca 
County, Ohio, she came to Gladwin County from Roan, Ind., 50 years ago. The 
former Miss Emma Catherine Patterson was married to Erastus C. Rieley in 
November of 1917 in Beaverton. She was a school teacher before her marriage. 
Mr. Rieley preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1950.
   Survivors include two sons, John of Beaverton, and George of Garden City; 
two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Redtke of Detroit, and Mrs. Carl Coon of Denver; a 
brother, Edwin Patterson, of Stockton, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of 
the Brethren. The Rev. Arthur Whisler and the Rev. Randall Roose officiated 
and burial was in Dale Cemetery.
