HOLD RITES FOR C. C. RIPPBERGER

   Charles C. Rippberger 84, of Beaverton township, died Friday at the Clare 
General Hospital following an illness of one week. He was born July 8, 1872 in 
Elgin, Ill. A farmer by occupation, he came to Gladwin County 36 years ago. He 
married Miss Edith Hager in Detroit, September 1, 1897.
   Surviving are his wife; one son, Clayton of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, 
Mrs. Ida May Hill and Mrs. Leah McAllister, both of Beaverton; seven 
grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; oen brother, Julius. Funeral 
services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Beaverton L.D.S. 
Church with Elder Alva Pendleton officiating. Burial was made in the Beaverton 
cemetery. His grandsons served as pallbearers.
