RIPPBERGER Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13 at 2 p.m. for Edith A. Rippberger, 86, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Mae Hill, with whom she had resided for the past three years. Mrs. Rippberger was born Edith Hager October 23, 1872 in Canada. She passed away June 11 after an illness of three years. Married to Charles Rippberger in 1899, they moved to Beaverton in 1920 and operated a grocery for two years then moved to a farm on Calhoun Road where they resided until Mr. Rippberger passed away in 1956. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent many active years with the church school in Saginaw. Services were from the Hall Funeral Home with Elder Alva Pendleton officiating and burial was in Beaverton Cemetery. Mrs. Ida Mae Hill and Mrs. Leah Cleveland; and two daughters, Mrs. Ida Mae Hill and Mrs. Leah McAllister, both of Gladwin; one brother, Peter Hager of Portland, Oregon, and a sister, Bertha Peer of Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
