Gladwin County Record dated 11-22/1917 Column - 3 Page - 4 
RISE---Charles James, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rise, died in Pontiac 
Nov. 15, 1917, aged 5 months and 21 days, having suffered two days with 
membraneous croup. The body was brought to the home of Mr. Rise's parents two 
miles south of Arbutus, Saturday night. Services by Rev. Arnold, Nov. 18, at 2 
p.m. Interment in Dale cemetery.
   Darling Charles, thou hast left us, And our grief we cannot tell; But we 
know thou are with Jesus, And He doeth all things well. This little one to us 
was given, To cherish and to love. May he be the guiding angel, To lead us to 
that home above."
