SERVICES THURSDAY FOR THOMAS RISE

   Thomas T. Rise, 63, a retired farmer, died at his home in Beaverton 
December 3, after an illness of six months. He was born in Lima, Ohio on 
September 27, 1893, the son of Rosetta and Charles T. Rise and had lived in 
Gladwin County for the past 49 years. Mr. Rise was a member of the Church of 
the Brethren. On November 12, 1915, he was married to Hazel Smith. 
   Surviving are his wife, Hazel; four daughters, Mrs. Ilene Brown of Bowling 
Green, Ohio, Mrs. Maxine Johnson and Mrs. Wanda Malosh of Beaverton and Mrs. 
Ola Barber of Auburn; one son, Donald of Beaverton; and 14 grandchildren. One 
son, Charles, is deceased. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bertha 
Crockett and Mrs. Ethel McMahon of Beaverton, and three brothers, Ralph of 
Gladwin, Fred and Harold of Detroit. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 
1:30 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Whisler officiating. 
Burial will be in the Dale cemetery.
