Born December 12, 1891 in Ottawa, Kan., Mr. Roback had been a long- time resident of Gladwin County, coming to Beaverton from Ogden, Mich., 51 years ago. He was a farmer until his retirement. Mr. Roback had been a widower for 41 years, Mrs. Roback passing away in 1930. Survivors are three sons, Howard of Beaverton, Loren and Russell, both of Adrian; one daughter, Mrs. Coleen Chek of Saginaw; and a twin son and daughter, Samuel and Sally, in California. 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Vivian Knapp, also preceded him in death. Services are at 1:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with the Rev. Henry List officiating. Burial will be in the Dale Cemetery. Additional Comments: Note: Regarding Surname: Most of all the Roback's use the spelling Rohrbach for their last names. Which, is the German way of spelling. Though, here in the Gladwin County Records. It appears Harry used the spelling as: Roback! Which is the American Version of the Surname...
