KITCHEN Mrs. Hulda Kitchen, 70, a resident of Gladwin County for more than 50 years, was found dead early Saturday at her home in Beaverton by her sister, Mrs. Mary Kintner, also of Beaverton. Death was attributed to a heart attack by Gladwin County Coroner Donald Hall. Mrs. Kitchen was born March 21, 1892, in Brown City, and came to Gladwin County in 1929. She was married to Fred Rockwood on Oct. 18, 1912, and he preceded her in death in December, 1936. On Oct. 27, 1937, she was married to Leslie Kitchen, who preceded her in death on April 30, 1962. She was a member of the Beaverton Methodist Church. Surviving her are two sons, Lyman Rockwood of Cleveland and Lawrence Rockwood of Livonia; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Edick, of Gladwin; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Kintner of Beaverton, Mrs. Melva Schneider and Mrs. Lora Greenman, of Flint, and Mrs. Lois Ballard of Gaines; three brothers, Russell Foster of Flint, and Marshall Foster and Howard Dell, of Beaverton; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Methodist Church with the Rev. Gordon Showers officiating. Burial was in Beaverton Cemetery.
