M-18, Beaverton, died Saturday, May 21, 1994, at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center - Gladwin, after a long illness. She was born in Posen, Germany June 19, 1899, and came to Gladwin from Cleveland, Ohio in 1924. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin. The former Lydia Piepke, she married Carl Roehrs in Cleveland March 1, 1924. He died Nov. 27, 1955. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard and Herbert, both of Beaverton; 1 daughter, Mrs. Jack (Mary Ann) Jones of Palm Bay, Fla.; 1 brother, Emil Piepke of Snyder, N. Y.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin. The Rev. James L. Wilk officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. Memorials may be sent to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
