Born in Cass City March 24, 1924, he moved to Saginaw 30 years ago form Gladwin. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was employed by Malleable Iron. Mr. Rogers was married to the former Betty Ross Jan. 5, 1946, in Gladwin. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, William of Saginaw; 3 daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Pamela) Bacon of Morlet, Mrs. Fred (Marcia) Frisch and Mrs. Tony (Andrea) Cardenas of Saginaw, his parents Ray and Wilma Rogers of Hope; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Grove of Gladwin, Mrs. Emma Lou Watson of Alaska and Mrs. Ann Morgan of South Lyons, 2 step-brothers, Courtney and Thomas Fillmore of Hope and 7 grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. form the Gladwin United Methodist Church. The Rev. Cleon Abbott officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
