Born in Yale, Mich., January 30, 1885, Mrs. Rose had been a resident of Gladwin County for the past 70 years. The former Miss Roxa Trumble and John Henry Rose were married in 1906 and he died in April of 1958. Mrs. Rose was a member of the Billings Missionary Church. Surviving are two sons, Jack of Beaverton, and Hugh of Flint; two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Mead of Harrison, and Mrs. Phoebe Schulz of Saginaw; one brother, Robert Trumble of Beaverton; two sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Martin of Beaverton, and Mrs. Ann Brown of Saginaw; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 2:00 at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, with the Rev. Neil Keyes officiating. Burial was in the Billings Township Cemetery.
