Nettie Lord Russell, 88, of 222 Sears St., Beaverton, died Monday, Oct. 7, in 
the Gladwin Area Hospital after a short illness. Born in Tobacco Township June 
22, 1897, she had spent her lifetime in Gladwin County. She had been employed 
by several businesses in the Beaverton area. The former Nettie Dumont, she was 
married to Floyd R. Lord May 7, 1914, in Beaverton. He died Aug. 28, 1965. She 
then married Lawson N. Russell Oct. 18, 1973, in Standish. He preceded her in 
death Sept. 16, 1978.
   Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Letha Hagenbaugh of Beaverton and Mrs. 
Dorothy Rowley of Clio; 5 step-daughters, Mrs. Marcia Koepke, Mrs. Ida Mae 
Daniels, Mrs. Karen Tanner and Mrs. Loa Dell Pressler of Mt. Morris and Mrs. 
Norma Pratt of Grand Blanc; 27 grandchildren and several great and great great 
grandchildren.
   Services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeal Home, 
Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Bruce Hatch officiated and burial was in the Dale 
Cemetery.
