Lawson N. Russell, 83, of 222 Sears St., Beaverton, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 
in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a short illness. Born in Gladwin County 
on May 11, 1895, he retired in 1960 from General Motors Buick division in 
Flint. He moved back to Gladwin County in 1975 from Flint. Mr. Russell and the 
former Jeanette Lord were married on October 18, 1973, in Sandish.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 6 daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Madeline) Foote 
of Flint, Mrs. Ida Daniels, Mrs. George (Karen) Tanner and Mrs. Lowell (Loa 
Dell) Pressler of Mt. Morris and Mrs. Larry (Norma) Pratt of Grand Blanc; 2 
step-daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Leatha) Hagenbaugh of Beaverton and Mrs. Dorothy 
Rowley of Clio; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Randall of Tawas; 27 grandchildren and 
17 great grandchildren.
   Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. Elder Leon Methner officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
