Schneider, 83, of 2849 Roehrs Rd., Beaverton, well-known Beaverton Township resident and former township supervisor, died Thursday, Feb. 5, in the Midland Hospital Center following a short illness. Born in Beaverton on September 16, 1897, he had spent his lifetime in Beaverton Township. Mr. Schneider was a retired farmer and employee at Robinson's Industries. He was a member of the Beaverton Masonic Lodge No. 453 and a life member of the Tittabawassee Sportsman's Club and the Northern Cooners Club. Mr. Schneider and the former Lois Calhoun were married February 7, 1934, in Clare. Surviving besides his wife, are 2 daughters, Mrs. Edward (Louann) Carpenter of Beaverton and Mrs. Leonard (Louise) Wright of Clio; one son, Phillip of Beaverton; one brother, Francis of Florida; one sister, Mrs. Sophie Reid of Mississippi; and 7 grandchildren. One brother Alfred and a sisters, Louise, preceded him in death. Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Aeron Davies officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
