Scoby, 73, of Montrose and formerly of Beaverton, died suddenly at his home last Friday. Born in Gladwin County on April 25, 1895, he moved to Montrose 40 years ago. Mr. Scoby was a veteran of World War I. He married the former Thelma Nolan on March 11, 1922, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Vance of Montrose; one brother, Charles of Beaverton; and one grandchild. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Dale Methodist Church. The Rev. A. H. Keesler officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
