Gladwin County Record dated 07-21/1971 Column - 3 Page - 2
Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Dale United Methodist Church, 
Beaverton, for Mrs. Thelma Scoby, 68, of Montrose. Mrs. Scoby died Thursday, 
July 15, at Genesee Memorial Hospital, Flint, following an illness of three 
weeks. Born in Edenville, March 3, 1903, she had been a resident of Beaverton 
before going to Montrose 42 years ago. She was married to Clarence Scoby March 
11, 1922, in Beaverton, and he preceded her in death July 26, 1968.
   Mrs. Scoby is survived by one son, Vance of Montrose; and four 
grandchildren. The Rev. Zina Bennett officiated at the 2:00 rites and burial 
was in the Dale Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
