Gladwin County Record dated 03-16/1906 Column - 4 Page - 1
MRS. JAMES SCOTT---Ida Hicks was born March 28, 1866, at Edenville, Mich. She 
was united in marriage Feb. 22, 1889, to James D. Scott of Tobacco. To this 
union were born five children, two daughters and three sons, all of whom are 
living. She died from consumption March 9, 1906. Deceased had been a resident 
of Dale many years, and was always held in highest esteem by those who knew 
her.
   "To know her was but to love her." Her death has brought sorrow to many 
homes, but we can but feel that our loss is her gain.

   An angel came into our home. 
     Our suffering one to see;
   It smiled and said in sweetest tone.
   "Oh come, I gently bear thee home with me."

   With joyful heart she heard this plea.
     And leaving all her earthly care,
   Sweetly answered. "I'll gladly go to rest with thee.
     "And wait me loved one over there."
