Searson, 83, of 1363 West Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Thursday, March 5, at the home of her daughter Patsy Brewer, after a long illness. Born in Beaverton on October 23, 1897, she moved back to Beaverton from Kansas in 1945. The former Violet Mathews, she married Glee Searson September 29, 1917, in Tuscola County. He preceded her in death October 2, 1976. Surviving are 4 sons, Glee Jr. of Glendale Heights, Ill.; Thomas and James of Sanford and Donald of Mt. Pleasant City, Ohio; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Betty) Tice of Eldorado, Kan., Mrs. Cecil (Rosemary) Kirk of Bradenton, Fla. and Mrs. Alton (Patsy) Brewer of Beaverton; one brother, Thomas Mathews of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Banks of Edenville; 30 grandchildren; 71 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. James Braid officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
