ELIZA A. SEWARD OF TOBACCO TP. DIES Funeral services were held at the Dale Methodist church Tuesday, April 20, for Mrs. Eliza A. Seward, conducted by Rev. B. F. Wade. Burial was at the Dale cemetery. Second daughter of Benson L. and Mary Barden. She was born November 16, 1856 and married Melvin D. Seward September 25, 1873. Mr. and Mrs. Seward came to Gladwin about 35 years ago. Mr Seward died June 10, 1932. Mrs. Seward died April 17, 1937, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude Onweller, in Tobacco township. Surviving her are her three children: George B. Seward, Mrs. Lucy Onweller and Bertha Quellet, 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Those attending the funeral from away are: Mr. and Mrs. Willard Gunn, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Barden of Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Barden of Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. George Seward of Wheeler, Mrs. Bertha Quillette of Hale, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Seward of Midland, Mrs. Clyde Staley, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Quellette, Fern Merrill and Nora Quellette, all of Saginaw, Mrs. Norman Spacek fo Midland and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tompkins of Lansing, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Young of Royal Oak.
