Brown St., Beaverton, died Wednesday, March 5, in the Schnepp Nursing Home, St. Louis, after a long illness. Born in Henry County, Ohio July 11, 1888, she came to Gladwin County in 1915. Mrs. Shock was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren and Tobacco Township Treasurer for 27 years until retiring in 1961. The former Bessie Dils, she was married to Elmer M. Shock Feb. 1, 1915, in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He preceded her in death July 26, 1970. Surviving are one son, Paul of Lake Isabella, Calif.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Mary French of Stanton, Mrs. Fern Higgins of Reed City and Mrs. Charles (Grace) Voorheis of Gladwin and Apache Junction, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Mike Clark officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
