LAURA D. SITES

   Laura D. Sites, 91, of Beaverton, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000 at MidMichigan 
Medical Center-Clare after a short illness. Born Jan. 20, 1909 in Dola, Ohio, 
she was the daughter of John and Rosa (Pitzenbarger) Neal. She lived in 
Gladwin County most of her life. Laura married James W. Sites, Aug. 1, 1925 in 
Gladwin. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was a homemaker.
   Surviving are four daughters, Rose Pleasants of Beaverton, Thelma and 
husband Wayne Tuck of Gladwin, Shirley Cavett of Coleman, and Carol Ann and 
husband Larry Williams of Jackson; one son, James R. and wife Ruth of 
McMillan; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 
her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
   Services will be held at noon today (Wednesday) at Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton with Jerry Methner officiating. Burial will be in Beaverton 
Cemetery, Beaverton. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's 
favorite charity.
