JOHN W. SLOAT DIES AT BEAVERTON SAT.

   Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the L.D.S. church at 
Beaverton for John W. Sloat, conducted by Elder George W. Burt. Burial was at 
the Beaverton cemetery. Born October 30, 1859, in Canada he has been a 
resident of Beaverton many years. He is survived by Mrs. Sloat and seven 
children.
