Gladwin County Record dated 04-08/1981 Column - 6 Page - 2
Christian D. Smith, 100, of Gladwin, died Thursday, April 2, after a long 
illness. Born in Fayette, Ohio, on May 23, 1880, he came to Gladwin County in 
1900. He farmed in Tobacco Township until 1956. Mr. Smith never married and 
had one brother who preceded him in death.
   Rites were held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin 
Chapel. Elder Harold McAllister officiated and burial was in the Dale 
Cemetery.
