Donald Sailor officiating. Burial was made in Dale cemetery. A short prayer service preceded the church service at the Hall Funeral Home. Mr. Smith passed away suddenly at his farm home in Tobacco township on Saturday, October 29. He was born in Otisville on May 11, 1876, and had been a farmer in this vicinity for about 50 years. His wife, the former Celia Ray, died in 1935. Surviving are five sons, Ivan, of Estey, James, of California, Guy, Elmer and Floyd, of Beaverton; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also one sister, Rhoda Russell, of Otisville.
