Gladwin County Record dated 11-08/1978 Column - 5 Page - 2   
Gene Max Smith, 50, of 3345 Calhoun Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, Nov. 5, in 
Flint McLaren Hospital after a short illness. Born in Beaverton on May 4, 
1928, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Smith was employed in the frame 
assembly division of the Chevrolet Truck Assembly Plant in Flint.
   Surviving are 2 brothers, Edward and Jack of Beaverton, and 2 sisters, 
Doris Smith of Beaverton and Mrs. Geraldine Lightfoot of Tifton, Ga. Services 
were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Arthur Whisler officiated and burial was in the Dale 
Cemetery.
