Loren Gary Smith Jr., 32, of 2980 McNamara Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly 
Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994, at his home. He was born in Denver, Colo. on June 17, 
1961, and came to Gladwin County in 1967 from Denver. Mr. Smith was a laborer 
for Huron Valley, Inc. in Ann Arbor for 10 years.
   Surviving are his father and step-mother, Loren and Rose Smith Sr. of 
Beaverton; his mother and step-father, Forest and Shirley Parker of Newaygo; 4 
sisters, Roshelle Brubaker and Sue Hosman of Beaverton, Roxanne Manifold of 
Houghton Lake and Deb Smith of Newyago; 3 brothers, Ron Streeter and Dan Smith 
of Beaverton and Rich Streeter of Gladwin; 5 step-sisters, Kathi, Laura and 
Colleen Parker and Theresa Parmenter of Newaygo and Doris Parker of Florida; 
grandmother, DeEtta Smith of Clare and grandfather, Beverly Redman of Denver, 
Colo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Redman and Harold 
Smith.
   Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel and burial will be in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. 
Visitation is after 1 p.m. today, Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the 
Loren Smith Jr. Sports Scholarship in Beaverton.
