BILLINGS MAN'S SERVICES TODAY

   Leslie B. Smith, 77, of Billings Township, died Sunday, Oct. 23, after a 
brief illness. Born in Lapeer County April 16, 1889, Mr. Smith had been a 
resident of Gladwin County for the past 12 years. He was a retired sheet metal 
worker in the Chevrolet plant, Flint. He was married to Minnie Casteel May 2, 
1936, in Toledo. Surviving are a step-son, Dr. Dallas Sigwart of California; 
four brothers, Hershey, Alva and Carl of Otisville, and James of Waterford. 
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Randall Roose officiating and burial was in the Billings 
Township Cemetery.
