MRS. MINNIE SMITH

   Mrs. Minnie Smith, 83, of Rose Mead, Calif, and formerly of Billings 
Township, died Thursday, Feb. 5, in ElMonte, Calif., after a long illness. 
Born in West Virginia on September 10, 1892, she lived in Gladwin County from 
1954 to 1966 when she moved to California. She was married to Leslie B. Smith 
on May 2, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1966. 
Surviving are one son, Dr. Dallas Sigwaar of California; one sister, Emily 
Green of California; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Rites were 
held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. Burial was in 
the Billings Cemetery.
