MR. AND MRS. SNYDER DIE WEEK APART

   George D. Snyder, 78, who died June 6, was joined in death by his wife, May 
B. Snyder, June 12. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary 
August 29 this year. Mr. Snyder's funeral services were held at the 
Presbyterian Church in Beaverton, June 8, under the auspices of Elder Floyd 
Burt, of the Latter Day Saint's church, after a prayer service at 1:30 p.m. at 
the Hall Funearal Home. Burial took place at the Dale cemetery. Arrangements 
for Mrs. Snyder's funeral are as yet incomplete.
   Surviving the couple are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Boleck, of Flint; a son, 
George D. Snyder, of Gladwin, 11 grandchildren and one great great grandchild. 
Born in New York state June 25, 1867, Mr. Snyder farmed in this area for many 
years, and at the time of his death had been a resident of Gladwin county for 
45 years. The last years were spent in retirement from farming. He married May 
B. Burgess, August 29, 1895.
