Born on July 24, 1896, in Tobacco Township, he lived most of his lifetime in Gladwin County. A carpenter by trade he was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Robert L. Cox of Detroit, Mrs. William Schwender of Saginaw, and Mrs. Don Perkins of Flint; and one brother, Welcome, of Beaverton. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Gordon Showers officiated and burial was in Dale Cemetery.
