Gladwin County Record dated 04-13/1916 Column - 4 Page - 5 
Conrad Sorge, a resident of Beaverton township, passed away at his home at 5 
o'clock Sunday afternoon, of a complication of diseases, at the age of 71 
years, 3 months and 14 days. He was born in Livingston county, New York, where 
he resided until he came to Michigan 33 years ago. He was married in 1869 to 
Mary Grobe.
   Besides the widow he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Katherine 
Hinkley of Williamston, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Willey of St. Charles, Mich.; Mrs. 
Grace Shepherd, Granite Pass, Ore.; Charles Sorge of Carland, Mich.; Mrs. 
Delia Johnston of Lansford, N. D.; Mrs. Elizabeth Eroy, Albert, William and 
Edward of Beaverton. He was a kind and loving husband and father.
   The funeral was held Wednesday at 1 o'clock from the home, and at 2:30 at 
the Dale M. E. church; interment in the Dale cemetery. Mr. Sorge was a member 
of the Beaverton lodge F. and A.M. He was a very active Mason during the 45 
years of his affiliation.
   Mr. Sorge was highly respected and will be greatly missed by his family and 
many friends and neighbors of Beaverton and vicinity.
