SURVIVES HUSBAND BY TWO MONTHS

   Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Mable Spencer, 76, at the Dale 
Methodist Church. The Rev. Verne Summers officiated and burial was in Dale 
Cemetery. The former Miss Mable Stiff, born April 15, 1883 in Tuscola County, 
married Oscar Spencer in 1902. He preceded her in death last December 17. Mrs. 
Spencer, a resident of Tobacco Township, died Saturday, February 6. She had 
lived in Gladwin County for 30 years.
   Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harriet Jones of Saginaw; three 
grandsons, Harvey Mavis, Leon Mavis and Dale Mavis, of Beaverton; and 10 great 
grandchildren.
