OSCAR SPENCER DIES SUDDENLY

   Oscar N. Spencer, 83, died suddenly on Thursday at his home in Tobacco 
Township. Mr. Spencer was born November 10, 1876 in Tuscola County and married 
the former Mable Stiff in 1902. He has been a resident of Gladwin County for 
30 years.
   Survivors include his wife, Mable; a daughter, Mrs. Harriet Jones of 
Saginaw; two brothers, Otis of Gladwin and Eber of Mt. Pleasant; three 
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. 
in the Dale Methodist Church with the Rev. Verne Summers officiating. Burial 
was in Dale Cemetery.
