Spencer, 82, of Beaverton, died Friday, Spet. 5, 1997 at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Gladwin after a short illness. She was born May 20, 1915 in Gladwin and lived here her whole life, Nola was a homemaker. The former Nola Woodruff married Ora Spencer, June 23, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1970. Surviving are two sons, Edward and wife Yvonne of Beaverton and Keith and wife Judy of Midland; two brothers, Howard Woodruff of Lake Ann and Neal Woodruff of Gladwin; three sisters, Wanda Smith of Gladwin, Blanche Wilson of Pinconning, and Doris Bock of Estey; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Faye Marie Mesh and Jacque Sue Spencer; two brothers, Jack and Earl Woodruff; and one sister, Lillian Erway. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel, with the Rev. Father Frederick Houghton officiating. Burial was in Billings Township Cemetery in Beaverton.
