SPICER Services were held for Mrs. Olive Spicer, 62, of Beaverton Township, Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of the Nazerene. The Rev. F. E. Voller officiated and interment was in the Beaverton Cemetery. Mrs. Spice died Thursday, April 28. Born in Paulding County, Ohio, May 20, 1903, she was the daughter of James and Mary Jane Winn and had been a resident of Gladwin County since 1911. She married Oran Spicer in Beaverton on Aug. 7, 1919. They were the parents of five children. One son preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Oran; three daughters, Mrs. Errol (Erma) Davis of Midland, Mrs. Stephen (Pat) Balakovich of Beaverton, and Mrs. Theodore (Barbara) Fackler of Mayville; one son, Clair of Florida; eight grandchildren; one brother, George Winn of Clare; and three sisters, Mrs. Alex Price of Gladwin, Mrs. Orlen Wagar and Mrs. Anna Broka of Beaverton. Mrs. Spicer was a charter member of the Beaverton Church of the Nazerene, member of the church's Missionary Society, and of the Women's Christian Temperance Union.
