Born in Coleman March 11, 1919, he was a lifetime resident of Coleman, spending many summers and weekends at his cabin on Pratt Lake. He was an avid sportsman, and loved to hunt and fish. He attended Beaverton Baptist Church. He was a retired supervisor of Robinson Industries of Coleman. He married the former Marita Huss in Hope on May 3, 1941. Surviving include 2 sons, Roy and wife Linda, and Robert and wife Marcy, all of Coleman; 2 daughters, Barbara and husband Timothy Zietz, and Pamela and husband Donald White, all of Gladwin; 2 sisters, Ardis Robinson and Sandra Fassett, both of Coleman; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Norris and Vernell. Rites were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from Beaverton Baptist Church. The Rev. Curt Gordon officiated, and burial was held in Dale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Beaverton Baptist Church. O'Laughlin Funeral Home of Coleman was in charge of arrangements.
