Gladwin County Record dated 02-17/1982 Column - 5 Page - 2   
Loren V. Staley, 48, of Columbiaville, died Friday, Feb. 12, in Henry Ford 
Hospital, Detroit. Born in Gladwin County on April 5, 1933, he was plant 
manager for Vesely Corp. for 12 years and recently was employed by Marathon 
Products of Lapeer. He was married to his wife, Joyce, Feb. 1, 1953, in 
Houghton Lake.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, David of East Lansing; Patrick 
of Houston, Texas and Eric, at home; his mother, Mrs. Thelma Staley of 
Beaverton; 3 sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Lower of Midland, Mrs. Kay Henry of Gladwin 
and Mrs. Donna Jones of Beaverton.
   Rites were held Sunday at Baird-Newton Funeral Home in Lapeer. Graveside 
services were held Sunday at the Dale Cemetery in Beaverton. Memorials may be 
made to the American Cancer Society.
