Mrs. Odessa Mary Stenger, 87, of 3850 West Dale Rd., Beaverton, died Friday, 
March 13, in the Midland Hospital Center following a short illness. Born in 
Kentucky on November 2, 1892, she came to Gladwin County 44 years ago. The 
former Odessa Basket, she was married to Charles Stenger Sr. in 1937 in 
Beaverton.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by 4 sons, Jesse and James Craig and 
Youing and Frederick May of Kentucky; one daughter Mary Skrugg of Kentucky; 2 
step-sons, Homer and Charles Stenger of Beaverton; a step-daughter, Mina Shaw 
of Flint; and one brother and one sister in Kentucky.
   Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Bruce Hatch officiated and burial was in the Beaverton City 
Cemetery.
