STOCKTON Margaret E. Stockton, 77, passed away at her home in Beaverton on Tuesday evening, May 13, after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon, May 16, at 2 o'clock at the residence in Beaverton. The Rev. James Hollopeter, of the Beaverton Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Beaverton cemetery. Mrs. Stockton will be at her home after Wednesday afternoon. Margaret E. McCracken Stockton was born on December 24, 1875, in Jefferson county, Pennslyvania, the daughter of Harvey and Mary Diane McCracken. She has been a resident of Gladwin county for about 50 years and was married here to Samuel Stockton on October 12, 1903. She was a member of the Beaverton Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, Samuel; five sons, Ralph, Rex and Gordon, all of Beaverton, Delmar of Mt. Morris and Kenneth of Roscommon; two daughters, Mrs. Guy McGowen of Swartz Creek and Miss Mary Stockton of Beaverton; three brothers, Thomas McCracken of Detroit, Rex McCracken of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Ward McCracken of Granger, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Cassidy and Mrs. Cora Furgeson, of Midland; also seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
