Gladwin County Record
Phylis K. Stoddard, 56, of Beaverton, died July 14, 2000 at home following a 
long illness. Born March 4, 1944 in Beaverton, she was the daughter of John 
and Jessie (Knisley) Rose. She lived in Gladwin County 11 years and previously 
lived in Tuscola County. She was a homemaker and a member of Billings 
Missionary Church. 
Surviving are one daughter, Elizabeth and husband Randy Stanley of Midlothian, 
Texas; one son, Matthew of Saginaw; one sister, Kathleen Rose of Midland; one 
brother, John and wife Ruth Rose of Freeland; stepmother, Wilma Rose of 
Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 
parents and one brother, Robert Rose in 1979. 
Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with 
Pastor Steve Shangraw officiating. Burial was in Billings Township Cemetery in 
Beaverton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pardee Cancer Treatment 
Fund, MidMichigan Hospice, The Gideons, or the Billings Missionary Church.
